Burdett's Banksia

Dense shrub to 4 m tall. Leaves alternate, 10-15 cm long, 1.5-2.5 cm wide, lower surface hairy; margin with many small teeth. Flowers cones 6-10 cm long, ovoid to broadly cylindrical. Perianth about 3.5 cm long, orange with white hair. Style curved. Fruit few, 2-2.5 cm long.

Northern SW WA.

B. hookeriana is similar but has much narrower leaves, whereas B. menziesii has similar leaves but pink and silver flowers.
