Bird's Nest Banksia

Open, mostly upright shrub to about 4 m tall. Leaves alternate, mostly 10-15 cm long, 3-7 cm wide, cut to the midrib into large triangular lobes, hairy at first. Flowers cones broadly ovoid, 3-4 cm long, 7.5-8.5 cm wide. Perianth yellow, about 1 cm long; mostly Jan-Mar. Style curved. Fruit few, 3.5-4 cm long.
