Baker Ashby's Banksia

Shrub or tree to 5 m or more tall with smooth bark. Leaves alternate, broad, linear, mostly 10-30 cm long, 2-4 cm wide; margins with deep-cut triangular lobes, hairy at first below. Flower cone cylindrical, 8-15 cm long, 6-8 cm wide. Perianth 2.5-3.5 cm long, orange; winter. Style straight or curved. Fruits many, mostly 1-1.5 cm long.
