Basket Flower

Shrub to 2 m tall developing a lignotuber. Leaves alternate, narrowly obovate to elliptic, mostly 1.5-2 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, stalkless and with 3-5 faint veins. Flower bud blunt. Flowers axillary, red to orange, with about 8 basal bracts; year round but mostly Aug-Nov.
