Shrub to 1 m tall. Leaves obovate, to 2 cm long, 2 cm wide, covered with distinctive silvery hair. Flowers solitary, to 1 cm long, lavender; winter. Fruit pod cylindrical, to about 3 cm long, 1 cm wide with numerous seeds.
