Parrot's Beak

Silvery-foliaged scrambling shrub. Leaves with 3-7 narrow leaflets about 1 cm long. Flowers scarlet, about 2.5 cm long.

Mostly grown as a hanging-basket plant for the deep red flowers. The Eurasian L. corniculatus L., Bird's Foot Trefoil, a spreading perennial to about 60 cm tall with petals yellow or suffused with red, is sometimes used as a forage plant and is a widespread naturalised plant in grasslands and lawns.
