Spreading shrub to about 2 m tall with branches eventually arching. Leaves 5-9 cm long, odd-pinnate, with mostly 11-25 oblong to elliptic leaflets 1-4 cm long, 0.5-1 cm wide. Flowers mostly 10-15 cm long. Petals pink to purple or white and faintly scented. Fruit pod cylindrical, 2.5-4.5 cm long, hairless, containing several seeds.
