Climbing plant. Leaves of 3-5 leaflets, more or less ovate, to 10 cm long, 4 cm wide; stipules and stipellae ovate. Flower clusters pendulous, to 20 cm long; winter to spring. Corolla blue to purple, rarely white. Standard to about 1 cm long with a yellowish central spot. Fruit pod linear, 3-4 cm long.
