Goodia lotifolia Salisb.

Golden-tip

Shrub 3-4 m tall. Leaves on a stalk 1-2 cm long, with 3 obovate leaflets each 1-3 cm long, hairy or not. Flowers to 8 cm long; mostly spring but also autumn and winter. Flowers 1-1.5 cm long. Lower lip of calyx at least as long as the flower tube. Corolla yellow with red to blackish markings. Ovary containing 4 ovules. Fruit pod 2-3 cm long, containing shiny black seeds.
