Begonia rex Putz.

Leaves large, to 27 cm long. Upper surface hairless, blistered, large with a dark green splash in the centre, widely banded by silver-green with a 2 cm green band at edge; red below, veins hairy; margins irregularly toothed, edged with hairs. Flowers 3 cm wide, pink, seldom rising above the foliage.
