Begonia philodendroides Ziesenh.

Rhizome underground, tuber-like, from which the petioles are attached. Leaves to 10 cm long, lobes 5-6 pointed, upper surface green, shiny, hairless; pale green below; margins minutely toothed. Flowers large, white, few, on stalks terminating below the foliage.
