Begonia foliosa Humb., Bonpl. & Kunth

Roots fibrous. Stems red to 1 m tall, thin and fleshy. Leaves to 2 cm long, in two dense ranks, glossy, dark green, succulent. Margin with few teeth. Flowers white, quite small, in dense clusters. Has the smallest leaves of any Begonia.
