Begonia acutifolia Jacq.

Roots fibrous. Stems to 1 m tall, branched, reddish. Leaves to 10 cm long, glossy green and sparsely hairy above, hairy on the veins below. Flowers white, sometimes coppery or pink. [B. acuminata Dryand.]
