Californian Allspice

Shrub to 4 m tall, straggling, fragrant. Leaves ovate, oblong or lanceolate, to 12 cm long, only slightly hairy below. Flowers red-brown to maroon, 4-6 cm wide; summer. Floral tube not narrowed at the mouth.
