Vigorous shrub to nearly 2 m tall. Young shoots more or less cylindrical. Leaves ovate, mostly 4-6 cm long, bluish below. Flowers intermittent through the year, few together. Petals roundish, about 1 cm long. Styles 5; summer.
Garden origin
Discovered as a chance seedling c. 1932 in the garden of Armytage Moore, Rowallane, County Down, N Ireland.
