Hypericum hookerianum Wight & Arn.

Semi-evergreen shrub to about 1 m or more tall. Young shoots reddish, round. Leaves oval to oblong, pale beneath with reddish midrib. Flowers 6 or more in a cluster, each about 3-5 cm wide, petals curving inwards. Sepals finely toothed (use hand lens), rounded. Stamens in 5 bundles, about one third the length of the petals. Styles 5, fused almost to the base; summer.
