Accepted name: Silene banksia 'Haageana Group'
A group of garden hybrids grown for the large (more than 4 cm wide) scarlet or orange flowers. These hybrids are now sometimes considered inferior to the L. 'Arkwrightii' (L. chalcedonica × L. ×”haageana) group of colourful garden hybrids available at present as the cultivar 'Vesuvius' which has dark foliage and large orange-scarlet flowers.
