Annual or perennial herb. Leaves ovate-lanceolate, small, to 4 mm long or so. Flowers axillary on short stalks. Petals minute, white; summer.
Europe, N Africa, Turkey to C Asia
Grown as a herb, purportedly with a range of medicinal properties, also forming an effective ground cover but may have weed potential.
