Dianthus alpinus L.

Tufted small perennial to about 12 cm tall. Leaves to 2.5 cm long, linear lanceolate, shiny and with a prominent midrib. Flowers solitary. Epicalyx bracts usually 4, at least half as long as calyx. Petal blades 1.5-2 cm long, finely toothed, bearded, deep pink with purple spots.
