Echinocereus knippelianus var. kruegeri Glass & R.C.Foster

Body clustering, globular to 5 cm wide with 6 or 7 rounded ribs. Areoles with 3-4 yellowish spines to 1 cm falling at maturity. Flowers whitish, outer petals pinkish 4 cm long.
