Small deciduous tree to 5 m tall. Leaves ovate to orbicular with the surface folded into corrugations; margins toothed; colouring orange-yellow in autumn. Fruits to 1 cm long.
Tasmania
Grows naturally on the C, W and S mountains at an altitude of c. 1000-1400 m in subalpine shrubland, sometimes in pure stands.
Sometimes available but difficult to grow.
Deciduous tree with colourful autumn foliage; leaves corrugated.
