Artillery Plant

Succulent annual or short-lived perennial herb to 20 cm tall. Leaves sometimes reddish, crowded, to 1.25 cm long, obovate, entire, 1-veined. Flowers in small clusters in summer. The anthers of this species 'explode' producing yellow puffs of pollen-hence the common name.

Mexico to Brazil
