Eschscholzia caespitosa Benth.

Annual herb. Leaves finely divided, the individual segments less than 1.5 cm long. Flowers yellow with petals to 2.5 cm long; spring to summer. Fruit capsule to 7 cm long.

Occasionally available in specialist nurseries.

A smaller plant than E. californica and more tufted.
