Thalictrum aquilegiifolium L.

Perennial to 1 m tall, rootstock short. Leaves divided 2-3 times, hairless. Leaflets obovate to 3 cm long, margin scalloped. Flowers usually bisexual, dark purple. Sepals 4-5, apple green. Stamens erect, longer than the sepals, the filaments purple, pink or white; spring to summer. Fruits long stalked, 3-angled, pendulous achenes.
