Clematis orientalis L.

Woody deciduous climber. Leaves variable, pinnate. Leaflets mostly 5-7, each sometimes further divided into 3. Flowers terminal or axillary in clusters of 3 or more; summer. Perianth segments 4, spreading and with woolly edges, 1-2 cm long, yellow, occasionally suffused with purple. Anthers yellow.
