Clematis heracleifolia D C.

Perennial herb to 1.5 m tall with grooved stems. Leaves with 3 large-toothed leaflets. Flowers tubular, bell-like and short-stalked in 3-flowered clusters; summer. Perianth segments 4, hairy outside, blue to deep violet.
