Clematis florida Thunb.

Woody climber. Leaves pinnate or bipinnate, dividing into lobes or 3, entire or toothed. Flowers axillary or terminal, solitary or in clusters. Perianth segments mostly 6 spreading, 5-8 cm long, creamy white. Anthers violet. A parent species in many hybrids.
