Abies pindrow (Royle) Spach

West Himalayan Fir

Large tree with dense foliage generally extending to base of trunk. Shoots ash grey, hairless, ridged. Buds resinous. Leaves 30-65 mm long, parted above and below the shoot, with two pale bands below, tip notched into 2 horny points on mature branches. Cones about 10-15 cm long, cylindrical.

Himalaya.
