Gloriosa modesta (Hook.) J.C.Manning & Vinn.

Perennial erect, trailing or climbing herb from a stout rhizome-like corm. Stems to 1.2 m, flowers solitary in leaf axils. Leaves broadly tapered, with apical tendrils. Flowers solitary, not widely spreading, to 5 cm wide; summer. Tepals bright yellow-orange.
