Perennial with tuberous and fibrous roots, low. Basal leaves ovate, bluntly toothed and generally with dark or silver blotching. Flowers yellow, often becoming whitish; spring. Fruits of beaked achenes. [Ficaria verna Huds.] Recorded as naturalised in Victoria as, for example, around Lake Wendouree, Ballarat, Victoria, and in cool districts.
